Horsey Couture

Showing off the most glamorous and lovely outfits from Petunia Park Commercial Centre,  is the lovely  Mojo 2010  Clydesdale, model code #387085.

This little outfit is a pretty little coat with red satin ribbon,  little red embroidered flowers, and a frill of pretty little green and blue flowers.    The lining of the coat matches the frill.    Very pretty.

This lovely coat features a large red roses frill,  little gold buckles on the ties and a lovely green braid.    Very sophisticated.

It's a warm tropical night by the ocean.   Here we have a lovely sky blue,  hand crochet surround at the top,  and along the bottom,  a sandy beach hand crochet boarder for the hula dancer under the palm tree.   Hand embroidered onto soft, hand-spun natural calico,  just like the beach, soft enough to dance on.

Feel like climbing up a lovely tree and having a swing on the tire.   Old fashioned in style, with a dear little house on the other side,  this nice little coat is perfect for wearing on a lazy sunday afternoon.

Another pretty one.   Country style tiny red roses with pretty little on the little frill.   the hand embroidered butterfly is colored with colorfast archive ink.   Casual and pretty.

Undersea Special.   This little number will have you dreaming of being a seahorse.   Hand embroidered,  this under-the-sea scene of fish, seaweed, and jellyfish features a coral - like crochet ruffle in deep sea blue around the edges.   Even the little octopus loves living here!

Now, something from the skies!   This little coat has a pretty ric-rac edging in bright happy yellow.   The beautiful butterfly,  hand embroidered with the finest silk ribbon is a stunner.   The butterfly is outlined in jet black with Mouline Sticktwist embroidery floss by Madeira, Germany,  gives the primary colored butterfly a stunning finish.

This stunner features an amazing vintage style flower crafted with an authentic vintage flower loom from the 1970's.   The edging is a glitter golden ric-rac around the quilted coat with a beautiful cotton lace sewn around the outside edge.  This coat says it all!

Bejeweled!   Stick on jewels makes this coat with make you stand out from the rest of the herd.   Each jewel surrounded by simple embroidery in royal purple.   The frill is a pastel green which matches perfectly with the pastel purple of the pretty flower pot featuring little french knots,  and the pastel pink running stitches around the calico.

County Bird hand Appliqué.   What a beauty.   This coat has  ties and lining to match the bird wings.    Cool enough for the city horse to wear out to any country rodeo with style.

This funky little coat would be great for the young colt to get the attention of all the fillies!   A cute, scary crab with big red claws,  a seaweed style green and gold edging,  perfect for the image conscious teenage horse with attitude!   Fully sick!

This is an interesting one!   Designed with 'fun' in mind!    A city - fanciful hand embroidered scene.   It  has a little red car,  parked at the traffic lights, with a panda waiting under the tree to cross the road safely.   The boarder around the edge of this fun little outfit is machine edging in red cotton little cars.   Fun & Funky.

Thankyou to my wonderful Mojo Clydesdale for her time.   She's a very stunning model.

What to do with the floor?

What, O WHAT will I do with this floor?   some of this stuff stuck on the wood is rubber cement glue, and the rest is some other hard stuff?   HELP!

I decided to just paint over the stuff really thickly, and in boring blue,  to make it sort of like a concrete lookalike which you could see in a regular shopping centre.

I have yet to paint up the walls.   I plan to paint them like the trim on the outside.  Full on gloss white.

Shelving and shop display hardware.

Went to a garage sale on Saturday,  and picked up this groovy box of wooden dominos for 50c    Bargain!   They are varnished, brightly colored and smoothly sanded.    Afterwards, I went to the hardware store and I bought a couple of sticks of round dowel for $2.50    I thought I could cut up the dowel into short lengths (about 4cm)   and glue them onto the dominos to make shelves.    I decided on round dowel apposed to square because the stick was quite long so I thought of cutting up a few smaller lengths (2cm or 3cm)  and glue (have you ever tried using Tacky Craft Glue?  good stuff!)   on printed off little labels so they can look like cans on the shop shelves.

These are going to make the perfect shop shelving hardware for the Petunia Park Commercial Centre!!!!!

And....... Here we have the finished product.   Perfect size for my home made feed packets.

Home-made Miniature Feed Packets.

Miniautre Feed Packets make top little props to have hanging around the stables, or in the feed or tack room.

Here are some that I made following the instructions I got from You Tube.    There are quite a few sites like this one by Conveyor12Studios to view.    I looked at alot of them, then adapted the instructions to make mine unique.   I totally love them,  they are soooo cute!

Here is the video instructions I got off YouTube.    This video is made  by Conveyor12Studios.

One THING I DID A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY:

- Printed off many different labels from lots of brands on a sheet of paper.  (Google / Images / Horse feed).   Then I cut out the little labels and glued them onto my little packets.   This meant that I could use different types of paper like old butcher bags, school book paper, and colored fancy paper).  And have other brands and labels, not just Spillers.  I choses labels that have nice clear horse images on them.   I didn't bother with the ingredient labels on the backs either.

The paper I used for my finished packets were the butcher bag, and the school book lined paper pictured above.

I haven't used the nice shiny gold coffee bag for anything yet,  but I'll think of something and post it up here.

Commercial Centre Renovation Update 18th May, 2012

Renovation Update  18th of May, 2012

I got this at a garage sale for $5   It is the future Petunia Park Commercial Trade Centre.

The paint job on it was sooo bad!   there was black texta and liquid paper on the perspex windows.

I used cheap hand sanitizer to get it off.   Came off really easily, germs would have no hope!

I painted the roof using Taubmans Yellow Hi Chroma paint which was $5 for a litre can.   Bargain!  and for the outside walls, a Taubmans green paint called Green Thorns.

Some of the roof wooden trim was snapped off, so I used wood putty to fill it in.

Please keep following my Blog for updates.   I am new to Blogging so thankyou for your patience as I learn how to add members and other features.
